I so need to get more "green" than I am. I DO have curly-q lights. I do recycle...but there is SO much more that I could be doing.

eh, so-so.

We recycle, we consume less than your average folk, but only because we're a fairly large family living on one income, so we can't afford to buy new as often as I'd like.

Yes, it's a unschooling field of study!

I'm green as the grass in springtime. I always have been but growing up in Portland, OR, you can't help to be anything but green and conscious living. You've inspired me to do a post....

We don't call it green (my husband and I hate the whole "worship mother earth" movement--we call it being frugal which it is.

That said, I found the deschooling article I was looking for plus an ebook on deschooling coming out soon. http://sandradodd.com/pattiedeschooling
http://www.huntpress.com/comingsoon.html which is reviewed here: http://www.momisteaching.com/review-of-deschooling-gently/.

I like the picture of the not plastic bag. That is funny.

For the record, I actually have lost faith in the curly-cue light bulbs. I find they usually only last a year, plus they contain mercury, so I'm not sure the benefit is so great as they say. But I'm not an expert.
