What’s In Your CD Holder?

Photobucket

As I get ready to head out to the bigger city to visit my husband, MIL, and FIL (who is still in Shands) I find myself wanting to stop at Borders along the way and pick up a new CD. I have been craving more of Amy Winehouse.

It is a two hour drive to the bigger city. Miss Sam jams to her Japanese tunes in the back seat and I have been working my way through my CD collection. As a result of one of my manic declutter episodes, that collection has been significantly depleted (hence the desire to make a pit-stop at Borders).

I think music speaks volumes about our inner selves. Here’s a glimpse of the tempest in the teapot that defines me:

  • James Taylor’s Greatest Hits
  • George Strait: Honkytonkville
  • The Best of Stray Cats
  • Tab Benoit: Fever for the Bayou
  • Norah Jones: Feels Like Home
  • Gary Allen: Alright Guy
  • Gary Allen: Smoke Rings in the Dark
  • George Strait: The Road Less Traveled
  • George Strait: Blue Clear Sky
  • The Best of Patsy Cline
  • The Marshall Tucker Band
  • Rod Stewart: If We Fall in Love Tonight
  • Norah Jones: Come Away with Me
  • Dwight Yoakam: Greatest Hits
  • Cher’s Greatest Hits: If I Could Turn Back Time
  • Reba: If You See Him

I think we can all agree that my CD collection needs some serious updating.

Here is what is on my “Need New Tunes” list:

What’s in your wallet CD holder?

(photo above is actually a CD holder that can be purchased here. Why they have it holding magazines is either marketing genius or a mistake someone got fired for making…and no this is NOT A PAY PER POST….you know I don’t roll that way..it’s just that the quirky side of my loves this CD holder…but the OCD part of me hates that it’s NOT HOLDING CD’s!!)

Mine is in serious need of updating too. It’s mostly 80’s stuff, some praise and worship CD’s, Jars of Clay, Santana, and Wynona.

Oh Lord. Most of the time these days in the car it’s either The Wiggles or the music from the Little Einsteins.

    Lucky me. LOL

I’m in my retro phase too: Best of Talking Heads, Big Blue Ball (Peter Gabriel), and Collective Soul.

I like many of the same as were on your list. But, I have just discovered Michael Buble and can’t seem to get enough of his music. Give him a try.

I have some of the same CDs that you mention here. I have a 72 CD holder in my car, so I couldn’t begin to list my favs…but lately it’s Chris Tomlin, Wicked, and The Eagle’s Greatest Hits.

    Hugs,

    Susan
