You Make My Day!

Photobucket

It’s a little later in the morning than my usual six o’clock am writing time. However, once I grabbed my cup of coffee, I got so wonderfully distracted by the blogs that Heather recently listed on her post Like Minded that I couldn’t stop clicking. Now two hours later my brain is bursting at the seams with ideas. I just love being inspired by other women. It makes me giddy.

Do you ever feel like that as you visit blogs and read about the lives of other women? There are many I visit that I find myself saying – I wish she was a neighbor.

Take for example Meahl Memories, a blogger that is learning to digital scrapbook. How awesome it would be to spend a morning learning and exploring a new creative avenue together. Having a friend there to nudge me out of my ‘got to have photo splits littering the floor’ comfort zone.

Oh, and to spend a Saturday afternoon with Life Nurturing Education, a blogger who loves to ’scavenge’ through the stuff other people are selling/giving/throwing away!!! To share a fabulous find with a kindred spirit instead of watching your husband’s eyes roll while he says ‘and where are you going to put THAT!?”

Then I think how wonderful it would be to spend an evening with Close Your Eyes and Hang on Tight, a blogger who has a unique perspective on teaching her children. To learn from her the comfort she feels when she is challenged to defend her values and ideals. I would have to bring a list of all the questions that pop around the inside of my head like when you put too much popcorn in the pot.

How awesome would it be to go on a photo field trip with As We Walk, a blogger who also considers her camera just another appendage. To be able to learn from another’s perspective and appreciate the ‘perfect capture’ that otherwise would have remained undiscovered.

This is how I spent my morning. Meeting women I would love to have as next door neighbors. Women that, through their love of blogging and sharing, have enriched my life.

Thank you for being out there.

It’s the best way to get inspired. I just wish I had a few hours to read! Times and seasons though. I enjoy catching what I can and appreciate others who share good reads too!

    Hugs,
    Holly

Thank you for the wonderful comment about my blog! I am completely humbled and encouraged to keep on going! It’s amazing how we have the power to spur one another on. I have to remember that a kind word can turn a dark day into a sunny one. And you’ve definitely given me some sunshine today. I’ll have to spend more time on your blog.

I would love for you to ask me questions. That’s how I get ideas on what to write about. Email me or leave a comment. My email is hangontight@gmail.com.

    Hi Danielle-

I just e-mailed you an invite to photo trade. I’ve been waiting to join them and finally got my notification today. They gave me three invites for others so I sent one to you.

Aren’t they all great? Some are more similar than others but all kindred in some manner and very exciting to find that we are not alone.

Thank you for visiting my blog and for your kind words. I always love to find another scavenger. ;)

I look forward to reading more about you. It is nice to know that other moms are working for the same goals.
