Outside My Window…it’s a little overcast with a nip in the air. It has the dogs rather rambunctious this morning (as Miss Sam would say ‘Who says rambunctious????).
I am thankful….that I still have one more week of vacation left (yippee).
From the kitchen…I made the Buffalo Chicken Enchiladas with Creamy Ranch Sauce and they were awesome!!!! Miss Sam is not one to like leftovers, however she loved these fresh and leftover!! This week I am going to give Chicken Pot Pie with Flaky Crust a try. I’ll let you know how that works out.
I am creating… order in my home office/studio. It has been a two month project. Getting rid of the old to make way for the new.
From the learning rooms…Miss Sam starts our new curriculum on Wednesday. This week her planner includes:
- Social Studies: Review of the history of the United States time line. View the video How the USA Grew: Thirteen Colonies to 50 States. Read a book on Florida History.
- Science: Review of the Scientific Method (crossword puzzle). Experiment: How Many Drops of H2O Can Fit On A Penny?
- Reading: Biography of Amelia Earhart
- Language Arts: Basics of report writing
- Health: View The Human Body In Action: Immune System
- Math: Continue with LifePac Curriculum (the only one we kept)
I am going…to work on my photography website this week in the hopes to get it online by the weekend.
I am reading…Baltimore Blues by Laura Lippman. I just finished The Venetian Betrayal and I highly recommend it. It has so many twists and turns!!! It was fabulous. I just started Baltimore Blues and it is nice easy reading after the complexities of The Venetian Betrayal. It is also a part of a series – which I always love!!!
I am hoping…to add a shopping cart to my photography website in August but first I have to keep working on the inventory. I am looking forward to another delivery of products this week to work on building that inventory (smile). I was totally blessed last week with a fabulous thrift shop find – a card display rack (see photo below). It was only $15.00 but with my senior citizen (cough cough) discount it ended up being fourteen dollars and some change.
Around the house…the dogs are washed, the linens are washed, the kitchen is still a mess from yesterday (ah well, no one is perfect). This weeks project is to declutter Miss Sam’s room – no matter how many times she screams ‘But I like it this way!!!
One of My Favorite Things…is sitting outside watching the dogs play.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
RELAX! RELAX! RELAX!
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…

Well on my way to setting up my booth for Art Fairs and Crafts Fairs!

I’ve got Baltimore Blues on my TBR list. I look forward to reading your thoughts.
Very nice day book. I did mine this today though I notice that Peggy doesn’t have hers up, hope everything is OK.
I look forward to seeing your photo site when you get it up.
I say “rambunctious.”
Congrats on that nice rack. LOL!
(I also say rambunctious.)
‘rambunctious’ is a fabulous word! Dinner sounds awesome too.
Good luck with building up your inventory. Hopefully the weather will improve for you.
