I've been growing my hair out for ages, or so it feels like. It's funny, tho...I'd had it quite short and it seemed to take FOREVER for it to grow to just below ear length. Since then it's taken off like crazy and is almost down to my shoulders! I have it pulled back in a ponytail most of the time to keep it away from little fingers, but haven't quite settled on a 'style' yet for more formal times. I like how Emmylou Harris has hers styled...long and loose and flowing but shaped up nicely. My mom used to always say long hair on an older woman aged her, but I'm not sure I agree with that anymore. At a family funeral last year, the wife of one of Dear Hubby's cousins had her white hair swept up into a loose but oh-so-chic looking topknot with all kinds of tendrils hanging down...it looked SO good! And she's like me, right around my age, and premature gray/white from back in her 20s where I was in my 30s. I think it all boils down to what each of us is comfortable with, don't you think? Just like fashion...if you're not comfortable in it, no matter how expensive or stylish it is, it isn't going to look right. Same with our hair, too, I'm thinkin'. I like the haircut a lot, Danielle!
