As I may have mentioned many, many, times…..I am in the process of weaving my ‘tapestry of contentment’ with inspiration provided by Sarah Breathnach’s Simple Abundance. At the end of February I posted several tidbits of wisdom that I feel compelled to explore further.
The first of which is Sarah’s suggestion that we:
invest quality time in ourselves
The more I contemplate this ‘suggestion’ the more I find myself wondering what she means by this. But then again, I guess it really doesn’t matter what she meant by it. What is important is how I interpret it for my own application towards ‘excavating’ my authentic self and how that thread will weave itself into my tapestry of contentment.
But I am curious……what do you think it means?

I might guess that it means thinking through things so that your opinions and likes have meaning and are based on something.
I think it means finding balance between the things you have to do and the things that you want to. I think it means carving time out from the busy schedules imposed upon us by others for time to do what makes us happy and brings us joy.
A great question. I guess if I stop to think on it I’d say quality time is that time you would go back and do exactly the same thing again if you had the choice; time spent doing things that mattered to you then and still do, things that matter most.
Hugs,
