Outside My Window…I am enjoying the beginnings of my garden happy place.
I am thankful….that my work schedule allows for me to have three and four day weekends. It’s spring break at the college this week (yippee!)…however, it’s not spring break for my counseling clients (that one is in April).
From the kitchen…I made myself Tilapia this weekend. I used Emeril’s Fish Rub and it turned out absolutely fabulous and it took only ten minutes. While the Tilapia was in the pan I microwaved my Steamfresh broccoli and voila…..a very tasty, healthy meal.
I am creating…an organized workspace (again!!!!).
From the learning rooms…there was no school on Friday due to it being Miss Sam’s birthday. I think I may be re-thinking incorporating each subject into everyday and splitting it up and spending one day on each subject.
I am going to…balance the checkbook after a weekend spending spree……ugh.
I am reading…click here.
I am hoping…to go to Lowe’s later today to get some more pots and flowers to put in the hanging planters along the fence line.
Around the house..hoping to do some spring cleaning. I have been so inspired by Barbara from A Chelsea Morning.
One of My Favorite Things…is my new external hard drive. I almost screwed my computer up again yesterday (thankfully it was just a keyboard problem)…but it was comforting to know that all the ‘important’ stuff is on the external hard drive should my computer crash.
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:
- getting estimates to replace the roof
- getting estimates to take down the tree that has potential to fall into Miss Sam’s bedroom should a hurricane hit
- getting estimates to have a stone patio built in the backyard
- getting estimates at having someone build an above ground planter like Tara’s
- getting an estimate to get started on re-decorating our bedroom…beginning with ripping down the wallpaper and putting up new paint
Here is a picture thought I am sharing…

The view from our front yard of yesterday’s space shuttle launch.
Today I am grateful for: a bright sunny spring day that has my green thumb itching.
Samantha’s Corner:
Sam: Mom, homeschooling does not mean just giving me work to do.
Mom: It doesn’t?
Sam: No. It means you need to teach me.
Mom: Ahhhhh….let me see if I can squeeze that into my schedule.

Balancing my checkbook last night after our weekend shopping spree at Lowe’s wasn’t fun, mainly because of the dollar amount involved. We ordered (and paid for) the new cabinets for my kitchen reno.
Thank you so much for your comment. Change is hard for me. I know that just when we’re settling into it, something else will come and it will be time for more change. C’est la vie, I suppose.
Wasn’t that shuttle launch just amazing??? You got a great shot of it. Sounds like you’re busy busy busy despite three and four day weekends. Hope you’re well.
Hugs,
Susan
I can’t wait to see more pictures of your backyard!
