My Daybook ~ March 28

Outside My Window…it is overcast with hurricane strength winds (or at least it feels like it).

I am thankful….it is the weekend.

From the kitchen…not much going on there…after all ‘it’s the weekend’.

I am creating…quiet time after a very busy week.

From the learning rooms…tried out the new system of concentrating on one subject a day. However, that has turned out to be too ‘concentrated’ so we are changing it up to two different subjects a day with math and reading every day…oh…and of course PE…which equals to ‘working in the garden’.

I We are going to…take a stab at creating our own raised vegetable beds. It’s been difficult getting estimates for them as no one seems to want to tackle the ‘little’ jobs. I want to start planting like last week! (We did get the container tomatoes planted and they are growing big and strong.)

I am readingHigh Noon by Norah Roberts. Nice and easy reading for a nice and easy weekend.

I am hoping…to keep housework at a minimum this weekend.

Around the house..see above.

One of My Favorite Things…is the magazine Real Simple. I’m actually contemplating getting a subscription. The Real Simple website is a lot of fun also.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week:

  • very heavy client schedule
  • Sam’s dental appointment
  • my hair appointment
  • lecture on personality Monday and Tuesday night (my favorite topic!!)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing

This one is for Thia.

Today I am grateful for: WalMart’s Southwest Black Bean and White Corn Salsa…I’m off to sit on the big blue comfy couch with a bowl of it and some bite size tortilla chips. An excellent way to start Saturday evening wouldn’t you say?

Good luck with the planters. My tomatoes are starting to put out flowers and I have a couple peppers getting big. I’ll have salsa in no time.

I hope you get your nice and easy weekend – I’m spending mine with a paintbrush.

Don’t you just love these early morning thunderstorms? I’ve been up since 3am enjoying it! ;)

I wish I could begin gardening but it is still too cold for that up here and I do not have the space inside the house to do so.

Your plans for the weekend sound great and I love that PE is in the garden!!

I love quiet time. I’ve actually started doing a little bit each day for myself.
