Five Reasons Why I Love Facebook: Reason Number Two

  I Love Facebook

Those of you who have followed me through my “blogging career” understand that I have no real connection to the individuals that make up the “Batog” side of the family. For several it has been by mutual consent to sever ties. For others there is no such desire, just an undeveloped sense of how to be a “family” on my part that keeps us from getting close.

It is these family members that encompass reason number two for why I love Facebook. Although the family ties are not bound tight, I am still able to share with them the daily events of their lives. This helps me feel connected in a way that they may not be able to comprehend. Their Facebook pages bring a ray of light to a very dark place in my heart.

From my perspective, these individuals were blessed to have a mother that, despite all the horrendous obstacles placed in her way by the “Batog” legacy,  was able to raise her children to love and support each other. She represents a sense of family that I never knew. It’s understandable why my own mother disliked her so much. She encompassed something that was so out of reach for her.

Why I Love Facebook: Reason Number Two

“***** has three crankmeisters on her hands. They all stayed up waaaay too late. Early nap I say!”

“*****has finally joined the Twilight obsession.”

I love Facebook because it satisfies a longing in me to stay connected.

I agree completely…I love staying that much more up to date on people without having the time to run to blogs…
