The weather in my neck of the woods:
Hot. Hot. Hot. Did I mention it is HOT in my neck of the woods?
A simple pleasure:
Sleeping in my own bed with my favorite blankie.
I am thankful:
That we decided to stay for the entire Anime Festival Orlando convention. Miss Sam and I had a BLAST!!!
From the kitchen:
Not much going on there as we were gone for three days!!!
I am working on:
Unpacking backpacks and garbage bags full of dirty clothes. Fun.
From the learning rooms:
During the convention Miss Sam went to two panels.
One was where she went through the steps required for an audition to be a voice actor which included critiques from the panel of professional voice actors.
The other panel was where you learned how dubbing was accomplished by voice actors. You learned how to read the script ~ when to read your line ~ how to improvise.
I am reading:
I have to admit to posting Mansfield Park by Jane Austen on Paperback Swap. I just COULD NOT get into it.
I am currently reading Shem Creek by Dorothea Benton Frank. Of course…it is thoroughly enjoyable!!
On my TV:
Still addicted to Big Brother Eleven! I am so ready for Ronnie to get on the chopping block!!!
Design Star ~ a summertime favorite! I really think Tashica needs to go. Her work is really, really, shoddy.
Devotional/Scripture Readings/Key Verses:
Genesis 20:2
and there Abraham said of his wife Sarah, “She is my sister.” Then Abimelech king of Gerar sent for Sarah and took her.
Abraham had used this same trick before to protect himself (12:11-13). Although Abraham is one of our heroes of faith, he did not learn his lesson well enough the first time. In fact, by giving in to the temptation again, he risked turning a sinful act into a sinful pattern of lying whenever he suspected his life was in danger.
No matter how much we love God, certain temptations are especially difficult to resist. These are the vulnerable spots in our spiritual armor.
As we struggle with these weaknesses, we can be encouraged to know that God is watching out for us just as he did for Abraham.

What does your Daybook look like?

Is Miss Sam in that picture? is Design Star that HGTV show where designers compete? I just heard someone from our area is on there, I think I am thinking of the right show.
It’s been hot here too. I’m ready for it to cool down. Glad you’re enjoying DBF.
It looks like the convention was fun! Sounds a lot similar to AKON that we have here in Dallas each summer. And have you gotten to try some Pocky?! Yuuuum stuff!
PS: I got a new site with all my posts transferred over! Let me know what you think!!
