Although I have spent a majority of time these past few days either in bed or in the bathroom (TMI!!) I have (believe it or not) been able to accomplish quite a bit on my project list.
- transferred db photography (a new project will be to re-design this website) photo files to my external hard drive
- replaced Miss Sam’s TV stand (aka – old dresser) with a new (thrift shop new) corner TV stand/unit

- developed 106 photos to include in my photo portfolio (this particular portfolio is a professional scrapbook where I put my favorite photos and then write an essay/poem/quote/etc.)
- have an essay ready to go to put in the portfolio with this picture

Andy Rooney had a segment on 60 minutes this past week about the postal service.
Well this certainly wasn’t the post that I set out to write today. I was going to write about a new writing prompt generator I found regarding fortune cookies.
Here are the prompts that came up today:
- You will laugh about joy if your palms remain open.
- You will find time to think about wisdom in small doses.
- You will remember happiness in the ocean of life.
- You will run to true love if you truly believe in yourself.
The ironic part of this writing prompt is I don’t open fortune cookies (that being the case I may not use any of these writing prompts). I enjoy a lunch of Chinese food once a month with a colleague/friend and when I refuse each time to open my fortune cookie she grabs it from me and opens it. I don’t mind so much when someone else opens it but for some reason opening a fortune cookie creeps me out. I wonder if I need to explore that in therapy????
I also ran across a prompt that asked the question:
- If you could have lunch with any famous person who would it be?
- What would you talk about with this person?
My person (for today) would be Sarah Ban Breathnach. What we would talk about is a post for another day.
Samantha’s Corner:
Miss Nelle (in conversation with Miss Sam): I think you are maturing.
Miss Sam: My cramps tell me that too.

Sam has a wry sense of humour. I like that. So many people don’t get it.
You were certainly busy despite not being well.
